The best places to visit in August

Looking for the ideal holiday resort for August? We've got a fantastic selection of destinations planned for you, so don't worry!

Norfolk

When you think of Norfolk in the summer, images of amazing beaches, festivals and carnivals in full swing, seals lazing in the sun, and fish and chips by the seaside.

In the summer, there is no better place to be than on one of Norfolk's beautiful beaches. You have plenty of room to take in the expansive skies and limitless stretches of sandy beaches on some of North Norfolk's beaches since the tides go out for miles. The tide doesn't flow quite as far out on the east coast, but the beaches are still fantastic.

Balearic Islands

In Spain, August is the hottest and driest month of the year, with highs in the 20s and warm waters ideal for swimming and other aquatic activities. Due to proximity to home, now is a fantastic time to take the family to the Balearic Islands, despite the livelier atmosphere and larger crowds. Explore the smaller towns and cities for a fix of art, world-class gastronomy, and history in pleasant weather now if you want to avoid the crowded coasts.

Australia

Northern Australia is a fantastic place to visit in August because of the dry, warm, and bright

weather that makes all locations accessible. Since the Great Barrier Reef experiences calm currents at this time of year, you may comfortably go on hikes in the national parks, unwind on the beaches while they're at their best, and dive around it.

Although there is a greater likelihood of rain, southern Australia's milder climate makes it an ideal season for hiking. The nation will see significantly fewer visitors than in the height of summer, and without the sweltering heat, inland areas like the Flinders Ranges will be easier to explore.

Iceland

It may be said that August, when the weather is sunny and the scenery is green, is the most

beautiful month in Iceland. With 16 to 18 hours of daylight each day, it's a fantastic time to drive the gorgeous interior of the island, weaving in and out of waterfalls, glaciers, and lagoons. All the roads are usable. If that weren't enough, the berry-picking season begins in the second half of the month, the whales are in abundance offshore, and this is your final opportunity to view puffins in Iceland before they depart for the arctic.
