Regular Skiers planning to spend more this year

Despite the UK's cost-of-living problem, the majority of frequent skiers are willing to pay more on a luxury ski vacation this year, according to a new Club Med study

The annual ski study from the operator, titled The Economy of Ski: The Financial Factors Impacting the Upcoming Season, focuses on how Brits are making their winter sports vacation reservations in light of mounting financial pressures.

The public "seeks escapism," and evidence suggests that despite the current economic circumstances, there is still a "strong desire" for ski vacations.

After three years of travel restrictions, the 2019 ski season is expected to be the first full, uninterrupted season since winter 2018/19.

Despite the fact that some people are having to postpone their vacation this year due to rising costs, 55% of those surveyed are still going.

Value for money is now the "single most essential factor" when choosing a location or resort, and those between the ages of 45 and 54 are most concerned about it.
