It all started back in May 2023. Our founder, Kelly was on a familiarisation trip in Mauritius when she heard about The Trade Trade Crusade - a mad road trip across Europe, travelling through 6 countries in 3 days whilst raising money for good causes. The trip had been dormant for a couple of years due to the pandemic but with a little excitement and a bucket load of ideas from enthusiastic Travel Agents, the founders of The Travel Trade Crusade agreed to reignite this charitable crusade event once again. Fast forward to January 2024, Kelly attended a conference in Stratford-upon-Avon and was reunited with The Travel Trade Crusade - she soon found herself signing up to the crusade and entered a team into the road trip, to take place this July 2024.
When Kelly started this business back in 2021, she wanted it to have a voice, to have strength and hold influence in our community; here, the company slogan was born - Travel That Gives Back. To date, she has organically grown the business to a six-strong team of experienced Travel Consultants that boast over 75-years experience and in more recent months has been able to watch her slogan come to life through a series of community engagement and fundraising initiatives.
Kelly says; "As the founder of a start-up business, witnessing the embodiment of our company slogan is an indescribable journey. Seeing our team members passionately embrace and champion our slogan in their work is a testament to the culture we've cultivated. It's more than just words on a page; it's a living, breathing ethos that guides every decision and action. Every time I witness our slogan come to life through the dedication of our team and the impact we make in the world, I'm reminded of the power of vision and the fulfilment of purpose. It's a humbling and exhilarating experience that fuels our collective drive to continue pushing boundaries and making a difference."
On 24th January 2024, Kelly reached out to her online community and asked for suggestions of local charities, one whom she could truly partner with, one that resonated and she could build a close affiliation too, she wanted us to truly witness the difference our support makes in the community and to this charity. Kelly was looking for something truly special - and from within her local community. Kelly received in excess of 50 suggestions and whilst she'd love to help them all (in time, maybe she can support a few more) one message stood out - it hit her.. and hard.
