Holiday prices are set to rise – book early to beat the hikes!

Clare Riola, Head of Travel warns holiday prices could increase by 25% in 2023

Customers who are on a budget are advised to book early to get the best value for 2023, with holiday prices set to soar in 2023.

We are looking at an increase of 20-25% on 2023 holidays compared to 2022 prices, Clare Riola said. “There are many factors affecting the price of bookings – but surging energy prices means that it's only going to get more expensive”

“On top of this many hotels are still running with less staff than pre-covid so are not booking to capacity – requiring them to increase their nightly rate”.

So, what should you do?

If you have a broad idea of your dates and itinerary, it can be a good idea to start planning your trip as soon as possible. Altering your locations is another thing you might want to consider doing. Try to avoid or limit your stay in countries with a reputation for being expensive and opt for less well-known, and sometimes much cheaper, locations instead.

Clare further stated that it is unlikely that demand for vacations will decline. Many people won't skip a holiday even though the cost is expected to rise.
